Dyson (handheld) storage solution anyone?

We are moving to a new home (1 year rental due to DH job) and it's a really cute but tiny cottage. I can't see anywhere obvious to keep our Dyson! First world problems!!!

Does anyone have any ideas or examples of random places you can keep one? It's the V7 I think - the handheld one that has a charging dock.

There's an under stairs cupboard but unfortunately no plug socket in there. No space in the tiny kitchen - unless I use the short attachment and charge it above the washing machine, and then I'd have to swap the long attachment onto it each time I used it. Don't really want it on display in the living room...

Has anyone come up with any clever solutions for this?

I had a socket put in my downstairs loo so I could run my tumble dryer in there (loo is partly under the stairs so enough room).
I then used an extension for my dyson to plug in and put the dock on the wall. Is that possible?

What is on the other side of the walls to the understairs cupboard? Are there any power sockets close by? It's a pretty easy job to add an extra socket, especially if there is something to run it from nearby. It wouldn't be expensive.
