Large telephone pole in front of house

Hello - bit of a strange one. We have a large telephone pole right in front of our house, with a large tree/bush behind it. We're thinking of cutting back or cutting down the bush as it's quite overgrown and ugly, but I'm worried the telephone pole will look even worse. Can anyone suggest a nice-looking solution to this issue?

Photo attached shows the issue - the house is behind the bush.

Looks like it was planted there for a reason! I'd trim it back carefully. Check when to trim that plant so it grows back nicely.

Grow clematis up it!

You can't start planting climbers on someone else property Confused

If it was me I would take out the bush entirely and then plant a low hedge (e.g. escalonia or beech to screen you a bit from the road). I would then plant a flowering cherry or other small tree towards the centre of the lawn. I think this would help to detract from the pole as your eye would go to the tree instead. If you plant something directly in front of the pole I think it would only serve to magnify it more.

A tree where the bush is would help disguise the pole, while providing more light in the garden.

Yes, as pp said, plant a tree more in the middle of the garden.
