We have recently moved into an Edwardian terrace, the fire in the lounge is a mishmash of styles and is quite lame. I want to restore it to its former glory with something more in keeping with the age of the house. But that will take time and money we don’t have at the moment
In the meantime l was thinking of painting the white wood (?) fire surround black, as well as pink / cream wall tiles and grey hearth tiles. Which type of paint should l use? The fire is open but not sure when it was last swept and fiancé is reluctant to have an open fire due to the environmental implications. So we won’t be using the fire anytime soon
