Making a first offer

I’m a first time buyer and looking to make an initial offer on a property. Should I go straight in at the asking price/slightly over? Or offer slightly under then increase if rejected?
The market is crazy at the moment and the house had many viewings in one day. Houses are selling so fast, we have only recently started looking and only viewed 3 places but we really like this property!

Go with what you can afford if you really like it. Good luck!

If it's had lots of viewings on 1 day it may well go to best and final offers so you need to think about how much you love it and are prepared to pay for it, but bear in mind mortgage offers and what you feel property is worth. Good luck 🤞
