I’ve been waiting months to get quotes for building work. My trusted builder has come back with £43k , I’m looking for wisdom and experience of these covid/brexit times to understand if this is high? By 2 years ago it’s probably outrageous 😱🙄
So works are:
- Conversion of existing windowless room to sittingroom- includes new picture window, roof lights, patio doors, decor, wiring, moving radiator, raising floor, raising roof with a new flat roof
- Renovating another flat roof
- Remedial work on main pitched roof and dormers ( stuff like replacing broken tiles, replace facials etc
- Replacing side passage and rear patio with new flags/wall…nothing fancy
It’s a frightening amount of money for a lot of stuff I won’t actually see 🤣😳
I am still waiting on another quote ,they have information but still haven’t sent it through despite chasing…
Just wanted a general high level view if this is in line with what others are paying just now?
