Colour scheme for large north facing kitchen/living area

Have looked online at lots of designer recommendations but would like personal views of what has worked or not.
Our kitchen/living/dining area faces NNW and gets reflected light, which is quite cool in tone.
Whilst the size of the room could probably take very dark colours, we prefer a light, bright airy feel. We are happy with a darker scheme for the kitchen such as navy or grey.
Actually very partial to grey and navy whether it be passé or ubiquitous(!) especially when paired with natural woods and plants to add warmth.

Any suggestions for wall colours? Even kitchen colours? Happy to be swayed from navy/grey if it works well.

TIA

I was in my NW-facing bedroom this (sunny..) morning thinking the F&B Cornforth White + Inchyra Blue was really lovely despite received opinion being not to use Cornforth White in a N facing room as it's "too cold". I'm a bit over grey personally but go for it if that's what you want. I would advise a warmer grey in a NW room though, despite what I just said! Try Little Greene French Grey (mid on walls, dark on woodwork, pale on ceiling is a fab combination), which is a neutral/warm grey that works brilliantly in a N facing room. Or Slaked Lime in the same tones.

Thanks @Zinnia, very helpful

Re: grey - definitely not going with the Mrs Hinch look. More like the attachments but happy to be persuaded from grey!

I have north facing too and have F&B Blackened (have seen threads saying this is also too cold) with F&B Railings on skirtings, doors and architraves. Kitchen is Wren Pebble which is similar to Blackened. I like it.
I did giggle at your Mrs Hinch comment. I like navy and grey.
I'm doing a light grey and navy wallpaper in the dining room and quite excited!

We have Strong White F&B in our north-facing kitchen and adjoining dining room. It doesn't feel too cool, just fresh!
