Building Regs?

Hi all we are looking to start rear single extension which falls under permitted development. I'm lucky enough to have all trades people to help me on weekends etc. My question is how easy and how do I sort out building regs any advice would be so helpful?

Your local council website should have information guides on their Building Regs department page. You can work directly with them, and they do the inspections, or hire a company who do the inspections. The final certificate then comes from the Council.

I have tried on there and it states call then offices are never open it just seems impossible.

Is there any facility to email and ask, or an online form to apply? You'll need the inspections done during the build as you reach each stage. Your main builder must have worked with the Council before, or with a building regs company?
