Dripping bath/shower mixer

Hello @pigletjohn or anyone else who can help! The mixer shown in the photo drips (from the spout) when the lever is set to 'bath' mode. The drip stops entirely when the lever is moved to 'shower' mode. The drip consists of an internal 'blip' noise every second or so, accompanied by actual drips of water out of the spout about 3 per second.

What is most likely to be wrong, and is it something I can fix myself?

Thanks in advance!

In this situation I think I would just leave it set to shower mode until that broke too.

It might be the a washer / the cartridge that needs replacing.

Thanks - yes, could just do that!

I know it has ceramic cartridges, not washers.

In that case, one or more of the ceramic cartridges is probably worn and leaking.

They're prone to that

If if is from a major UK tap maker, you can probably get replacement cartridges fairly easily.
