Ordering door handles

I have to buy door handles and fixings for 16 doors. I really like iron work but nothing too ornate- see pic. I don't want to have heavy metalware fixings so I don't really know where to start! Any suggestions?

From the Anvil do a whole range of lovely handles. I'm currently replacing ours a few doors at a time!

I bought lots of stuff, including door handles and window latches, from them for our previous cottage-style place.

Most places sell the same stock ime unless it's somewhere that makes their own and you'll pay more for that as they're not mass-produced. Have a look at handles4u and ironmongerydirect and scour the internet for small manufacturers. The other option could be an architectural salvage place and recycling old handles. That probably won't be a cheap option and you may have to strip paint of them, etc.

"Ironmongery for you" has so much choice. Most of what I liked from their website was by From The Anvil and they gave us a really good discount and advice.

Door knob experts -

I need to replace old door knobs - they twist and have a square bar through the middle of the door that inserts into the knob at each side.

What is it called? The style or the bar? I can't work out what to search for and I need to replace the knobs and the square bar which releases the catch
