Had a lot of building work done. We got the guy who did the drawings for us to come round and snag. What he's saying is the big building work is fine but some of the details are letting them down. So the joinery isn't brilliant. And tbh it's not. It's OK but not great.
We are getting our own decorators in and they are going to have to spend a lot of time prepping that really should have been done by the builders. Like caulking skirting boards, making corners right etc. The put new doors on but didn't take old latch plates off so there's bits to fill.
Is it fair to ask for some money off the bill to compensate we are going to ask decorators to have to do more.
We don't want the builders to do it as they won't do it carefully...
