How to arrange shelf here (with diagram)

Our study measures 3.3m x 2.4m. We have a Hemnes day bed along one wall (the 3.3m wall) (see red in diagram) and a desk along the other (see purple in diagram). The walls are F&B Ammonite.

I'd like to put up shelving along the day bed wall, but don't know whether to run the shelving along the entire wall, or just broadly the length of the bed (which is 2m). I also don't know whether to paint the shelves Ammonite or leave as oak, or even white. There isn't any oak or wood colour in the room atm.

Can anyone advise? Thank you!

Shelving would look better all along the wall IMO and painted in with the wall (perhaps in an eggshell finish) rather than oak/white.

I fear you're right about the colour. I just don't know if I can be arsed!

Maybe in white then, presuming your day bed is also white?
