Just choosing between caple's kempton sink and shaws and the measurements/technical sketches look identical as well as overall appearance. Are they the same sink with different branding or just copies?

We bought a place with a new Caple kitchen. The appliances were pretty rubbish, the fridge froze things at the back but couldn't stay below 5C at the front on the top setting, the washing machine and dishwasher both needed repairs under warranty, the extractor fan was temperamental, the stainless steel sink was pretty flimsy, the paint chipped off the black tap very easily, the cupboards weren't great quality. The oven and hob were excellent though.

They are a budget brand so I guess they are okay for the price. I suppose there isn't much that can go wrong with a ceramic sink.

They’re not the same sink with different branding. Shaws only make their own

The kempton sink is £777 so not that budget!! seems to be same price as shaws and looks the same and every measurement identical so looks like they took a mould of the shaws one then if not the same with different branding. Anyone had a caple butler sink?

I have the Caple Chepstow. Had never heard of Shaw when I was getting my kitchen 4 years ago. I can say I love my sink. I am careful with it. I use washing up bowls and I do have a clear plastic sink liner thingy from Lakeland.

Caple is a U.K. brand. I’d definitely buy their products over CDA or AEG. They have good guarantees and customer service. Stainless steel sinks - you get what you pay for. The cheaper they are the thinner the steel usually. The problems someone has mentioned up thread are one person’s experience of a brand. They’re used in a lot of contract kitchens due to their price and with appliances like fridges and freezers they’re pretty much identical to Bosch or NEFF but without the branding.

Don’t shaws offer a lifetime guarantee on their sinks? Do Caple?
