Alternative to Ikea Pax/B and Q sliding doors?

Hello,

So after months of planning and refurb we are ready to order Ikea Pax wardrobes....except everything is out of stock and been told the disruption could last a year.

What alternatives to Ikea pax (but similar budget). Would B and Q sliding doors and sliding door tracks work with ikea frames?

Is it just the doors that are the issue?

Pax are so common have you looked at 2nd hand and free sites?

Apologies for ressurecting an old thread but I'm in a similar dilemma to yours at the moment. Spent an age designing a PAX wardrobe on the IKEA site only for most of it to be unavailable!
What did you end up doing for your wardrobes in the end, please?

I’m also having this dilemma! I need sliding doors - I can get the frames but no doors at all to fit. Soooo frustrating as I need a wardrobe back asap and had my heart set on the PAX

So I designed my pax and will have them delivered on 29th March. I found it very frustrating that you can't just check out if some items are missing. I ended up with two tabs open at the same to check stock whilst designing them. The doors I wanted weren't available so I went for the Bergsbo ones instead. I can always change them in the future. They also didn't have the mesh drawers but over the weekend the 75cm mesh drawers appeared on the app so I bought those separate and they delivered them last week. I think they are sold out again. The only thing I'm now missing is the 5cm mesh drawers which I hope will appear some time in the future but also looking for 2nd hand ones on facebook and ebay locally.

I don't know about sliding doors but I have noticed a few being sold on facebook market place.

I also ordered the platsa wardrobes for my daughter's room and they don't have the hanging rails available in any size. I ordered ones from ebay instead. slightly more expensive but I didn't have to pay postage. Hopefully they are the right ones.

I seriously considered 2nd hand but not having a van to collect the 236cm ones complicates things so I'm looking to source spare parts that way instead.

I ordered pax with hinge doors in the end. I asked in 3 b and q's and no one seemed to know so played it safe with pax and ikea hinge doors. Semi regret it as the space in my room is more ideal for sliding rather than hinged.
