I am selling up to live nearee to family but plan to rent for a year to check the area is right (think moving from city to a village). My hous is under offer but there are very few properties to rent. The 2 estate agents that cover the village won't let me view until I have exchanged. (There is only 1 property currently for rent). A family member mentioned q House is being done up round the corner and suggested I write a letter to pop through the door to ask if they would be renting it out but I have no idea how to word this. Has anyone done this or can anyone offer some advice?
I recognise I am going to have to be proactive as there are not going to be many properties in a village to rent.
