Complete renovation required would you start at the top or the bottom ?

I’m going to have to have an overlap of around about a month between exchanging contracts and moving in to my new house due to having to give notice on my rental which works out quite nicely because I work full time and I would like to do some of the work myself at least. The bathroom is bearable but an ideally, I would replace it immediately if we are working from the top down so not to damage everything, that’s my instinct.

The main jobs really just painting and then re-carpeting upstairs.

Downstairs needs painting, new flooring too.

It will need a new kitchen but theres rear access so that can be done without disturbing the front.

If you can afford it, get the kitchen and bathroom done while you’re not there. I’d paint and carpet a bedroom and living room too if you’ve time.

It would kind of depend on which I felt I could live with most easily - which would be ok with a good clean and bit of staging/decoration.
