How shiny is Matt lacquer on floorboards?

Good morning 👋

We are getting our original pine floors sanded.

I wanted to oil them afterwards, but the floor-guy has said a Matt lacquer would not be shiny and is very hard wearing.

I appreciated the hard wearing aspect, but has anyone had Matt lacquer as a finish on the floor? Does it have zero sheen? Even when the light shines on it?

I really really don’t like shiny floors.

Any advice?
Thanks

It starts out Matt and invisible. If you put a lot of coats on, it gets more of a shine. My bathroom floor has about 8 coats of Satin Diamond on it and has a slight sheen but is not glossy.

Thank you! He said he would put three coats on, so I guess it should be fine then.
