Tech Corner Sofas (wireless charging)

I am looking for a really comfy and large sectional sofa (ideally U shaped). my only requirements were a high backed sofa (as in not a scatter cushion back) and a nice colour/aesthetic. However my DH has just thrown another element in and said that it would be amazing for it to be a tech sofa so that there would be chargers for phones etc as it would be positioned in the middle of the room and not next to a wall with sockets.

I guess it would be handy….although I wouldn’t compromise the aesthetic for the tech side (as my view is that there is no real hardship to charging a phone for half an hour at a plug away from the sofa 😂). Still, to show willing as this is the greatest amount of interest that he has ever shown in furniture, I thought I would see if there was something available which would cover this.

Anyone got a tech sofa. Is it worth it and can you recommend any?

6 iPhone charges in it and then just charge the block itself up once a week? Would seem a lot more convenient to me than limiting my choice of sofas. If it's not near a wall anyway how would you wire the sofa into the plug to allow it to become a charging point?

Yeah, wouldn't you have a big lead running from the Sofa to the wall?

Our new sofa has a USB socket on it but it's also an electric recliner so it actually had 2 flexes

Well I definitely don’t want leads running into the middle of the room…..I think battery pack is the solution and perhaps telling him he can get a gaming chair with electronics in the games den rather than in my pretty lounge 😂. Thanks all!
