What's Southdown's area in Harpenden like?

We are considering a move and have noticed houses in this area are more 'affordable'.
Is it a good area?

Or harpenden in general.

I have visit a clinic in Harpenden and its a lovely smart town.
Very pretty, lots of independent shops, olde wolde building etc. Countryside around seems nice but it's been fleeting visits and nothing deeper..

Southdown is very nice. I would move there. Schools are good and lots of lovely restaurants.
