Chalet bungalow conversion

Has any one converted the top floor (roof part with very slanted / height compromised bedrooms) of a chalet bungalow into normal shaped rooms?

We've found a house, we love the downstairs space but upstairs is tiny and useless for us (got a v talk husband and 2 growing boys).

I think it can be done but no idea how, or what the cost would be.

Anyone got any suggestions please?
Thank you

That is often the problem with Chalet Bungalows, we bought a bungalow last year, we ruled out all chalets bungalows, as we needed ground floor accommodation, due to my disability. If you are considering a CB you may as well look at houses too OP, with a house you won’t get the sloping ceilings. I don’t consider CB a bungalow as you still have stairs. You would reduced the room size significantly to remove the slopes. Good luck with your search.

Kerry Whelpdale (on Instagram and YouTube) has just done this, has detailed the conversion and renovation on her social media channels.
