Curtain help please

I'm remodelling my kitchen.
At the other end of the room is a seating area and tv, and a window.
I need some help with the curtain around this window please and would value your opinions / thoughts.
Diagram of window wall attached.
I'm putting a shadow gap with led lights in the ceiling, and have planned to install a motorised curtain track out of sight in the gap.
I'm thinking floor to ceiling curtains, and also wall to wall sideways. But is that a hideous waste of fabric on the two x 1 metre sides that will never move?
On the other hand, it would look lovely when the curtains are closed over the window and cover the entire wall at that end of the room. Another positive would be the bigger curtains would deaden the sound as not much in the room, and a tiled floor (with a rug).
I would add that I have probably only a handful of times closed the curtains that are over the window now, just a normal pole over window normal down the side of window arrangement.
Thanks for reading!

A complete wall of curtains would look fabulous but you won't be able to buy them off the peg and so will be paying for made to measure.

I would do the full wall width.
A cheaper way to do it (rather than bespoke) would be to buy several pairs of ready made curtains and have them joined/tweaked by a curtain maker.
If you like velvet have a look at the cotton velvet panels sold by La Redoute which come in long lengths.
