Rug grippers

Not 100% sure if rug grippers are what I'm actually looking for! I have some vintage rugs and we've just laid wooden flooring, so I'm looking for something to attach to my rugs (without damaging them!) to stop them sliding around...

Please let me know your recommendations for the best solutions!

Thanks 👍🏼

Rug grippers work well or I have used a non slip mat before specifically for under rugs which worked too Grin

Ikea underlay.

It's called Sttopp or something equally ridiculous.

I'd look for the rubbery high-friction underlay stuff, rather than the rug gripper tape which has adhesive on it, in case the adhesive somehow affected the valuable rugs. It might be fine, but I'd worry about it.

Thanks everyone, I'm off to Google your suggestions 👍🏼

This from John Lewis is good. The two sides are different, so you can use it for rugs on carpets or rugs on hard flooring, depending on which side is uppermost. It’s not cheap but lasts for years.

Dunelm do a rug underlay that you can cut to size and it is very good

Second Dunelm - it’s excellent, much better than IKEA’s version.

Sorry, I've been Googling all of the suggestions. I'm leaning towards the John Lewis one as it has the best reviews... the Dunelm one seems to have a mixture of loves and hates. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone 💐 and Happy New Year!

Hi, OP - we use this. I have two sets, one under a rug on wooden floor, the other under a rug on laminate. It is excellent. The rugs just do not budge. I very highly recommend. You can cut it to size, or use multiple pieces for big rugs.
