I'm decorating my bedroom and need new curtains. The curtains will be fitted on the bay rail.
I have been trawling t'internet and every curtain seems to have eyelets.
I'm on a budget of low £age.
Any website ideas anybody? Im lost.
Can't even remember what the hook or rail system is. Like swish. Old fashioned it would seem.
Please?

Hi. We used curtains curtains curtains and they were excellent value. They make to measure and so you can pick your fabric according to your colour scheme and budget. They have ready made to if you have a standard sized bay. The types /headers you're talking about are pencil pleat or pinch pleat more likely.

Do you already have a pole or rail fitted? That will inform your decision as to best curtain choices.

Spot on I just couldn't remember the terminology. Thank you 😊 @NigellaAwesome yes there's a track there already.

Dunhelm also do a few pleat designs. If you can try to go for the standard sizes because made to measure are loads more expensive.

We bought some blackout curtains from IKEA for not much money as a stop-gap whilst living in a flat and they’re amazingly good. So much so that we’re still using them in our bedroom even though we’ve moved into our house and have bought new curtains for other rooms in the house. They’ve got a brilliant system where the header means they can go on a rod or you can hook the little hooks into them. Don’t know if that’s what you’re looking for.

Ebay. I've bought lots of curtains on ebay and saved a fortune. Managed to get interlined for much less.

Seconding IKEA – you can create your own pleats using their headers and hookers – and eBay.

La Redoute and H&M also do decent LONG (assuming with a bay you’ll need long!) curtains with tape headers you can easily pleat and hook. Terry’s Fabrics does cheap lining fabric if you have a machine and can be arsed to line them.
