Where can I find the best deal on new flooring? *Clueless*

Clueless here! Soon to be starting a downstairs renovation/extension of our 3 bed semi and I have so many questions.

I'm leaning towards Porcelain but I know that could be pricy, whats the alernative for something matte? If we go with this, DH wants to put in underfloor heating which will also be $$$ but nice in the long run.

Wood flooring is also an option, nothing glossy though!

Where would be the best place to source them?

Thanks!

We have just bought some lovely wooden flooring from B&Q. They have wood and/or laminate ranging from about £10psm to £60psm.

I wouldn't do underfloor heating though. It's lovely, but it's £££ to run, and if there's a problem you have to take the whole floor up.

You can get some really funky radiators these days which belt out heat and are more economical than old style radiators.

Mandarin Stone has a lovely porcelain floor called Trulli in sand. Slightly rustic, lovely variation, very tough - will definitely need (wet) underfloor heating

Lots of online wood flooring companies but always get samples. Wider planks and variation in lengths makes the final floor look great...short planks the same length and narrow are cheap - for a reason

Thank you!

Has anyone used Mountain Tiles before?
