Building a house

We have a piece of land that we think we will be able to get planning permission on, but we know zero about how to go about building a house, Can anyone recommend any resources or sites we can look at for guidance?

Also has anyone here build their own house before?

Btw I did make a post in Chat (which hasn't had any responses) then found this forum, hoping someone can help me I am clueless

Self build magazine might help. Are you building it yourself?

If you are, I think you need to learn skills. If you are getting an architect to design a house, they can advise on builders. Depends what you want to pay! Get pp first though! You also need a survey for services such as drainage, electricity etc.
