Carpet colour - please help

We are purchasing a new build and need to choose the carpet colour soon. The builders have already chosen the flooring for the kitchen/diner, hall and bathrooms which is a light grey Amtico. Which colours might go with this which aren't grey. We want the same colour carpet throughout.

Most greys have an undertone of a colour so for example some greys are bluer and some greener and some have a hint of lilac, if you got a sample of the Amtico you could see what undertone it's got and go with that colour but it seems like it would be quite a statement for the whole house.

The other option would be a beige/greige colour which wouldn't look grey but wouldn't jar, maybe something like this pebble colour

Is there any reason you don't want to go with grey carpet? It seems like the most sensible choice if you need to make it quickly?

Thanks for your help. Grey seems to be the colour of the moment so worry it will date. Also I'm not sure as many colours of paint would go with grey but then I'm not at all artistic!
