Can a porch be done with steps?

We live on a hill and so our front door has steps from the drive . I would love a porch but unsure as if it is workable.
I can't see anything on a Google search but maybe someone here has ideas

Yes, more work and therefore money involved
As long as the ground the porch stands on is level,no problem

We used to have one of these. It was great for getting your keys out in the rain and also for parcels to be left under. Very useful.

Yes I really want a closed one to keep the clutter there - wellies, umbrellas etc
