Best budget cameras/security system?

Funds are limited but I would really like some cameras we can install ourselves. I've seen so many and have no idea what i'm looking at. I want two, possibly three. Have to be easy to use also as i'm a plonker when it comes to technology!
Any recommendations?

We've got Blink and they're brilliant, not expensive and very easy to install.

I had Swann at my old house and will buy a new system when we move into the newbuild.
Mine was an eight camera system with 2Tb hard-drive and if you connected it to the Hub the video could be viewed remotely (I didn't bother). Although an eight camera set-up I only had five of the cameras working (one adj to the front door, one at high-level looking over the front garden / driveway, one at high-level looking over the rear garden and one at each end of the house looking at the driveway / garage).
If you are moderately DIY savy you can install it and the installation is as neat (or not!) as you want to make it (mine was very neat!). No power supplies needed for the cameras as they are powered from the hub so as long as each camera is in reach of the hard-drive you are ok (think each lead is 25M?).
Cameras were totally reliable and weatherproof. Hard-drive did fail after a few years but a replacement was bought from Swann and soon had it up and running again.

We have Eufy, a brilliant alternative to Ring etc. and a hard drive in the house so more secure but no monthly subscription. The cameras took about 5 mins to mount and a minute to connect to the app. Not super cheap but lots of the very cheap systems are actually very vulnerable to being hacked.
