I haven't moved for 30 years and then I was an FTB moving into a new conversion. We're in the middle (please god) of a sale/buy.
Is there anything that you normally do on moving day aside from the obvious?
Flowers for the new owners? A gift? Leave a bottle of wine in the fridge perhaps?

We left a spotless house, card, chocolates, wine, milk, etc. All the manuals for everything, info on where we bought the fuel oil for the boiler, a box of spare tiles, spare paint all labelled by room for touching up if they had any accidents, the old paper deeds, everything we could think of. Forwarding address labels, stamps (though we did also arrange for Royal Mail to forward). Our phone number so they could contact us about anything, and a note saying we'd happily give any info on the garden plants (fruit and veg) if they wanted. Oh, and our solicitors worked like mad to get them moved in before Christmas like they wanted because their own were useless.

We got not a word of thanks, one parcel sent in error by supplier they kept for us to collect and rang us for that, any other stray bits of post they never bothered to send on or even ring us about, a book delivered in error they didn't even return to sender.

I'd still do the same again, because not everyone is an ungrateful pr~ck.
