Farrow & Ball discount

Am trying very hard not to weep - after dithering for weeks went into F&B today and ordering nearly £600 of paint for our living room and bedroom. And now I’ve just seen Homebase are doing buy one get one half price Sad

Sharing in case anyone didn’t know about the discount and it helps them out, but also hoping someone will come along and tell me that F&B will allow me to cancel my order and save me £100+

Thanks! x

Try and cancel and have all the paints colour matched by Valspar at B&Q…I bought a load of F&B (spent a fortune), and then had some decorators in to use it and they recommended I did this. We’re now decorating downstairs and the paint quality and ease of use of the Valspar is vastly better. F&B marks so easily 😭

How annoying! But the Homebase discount is only on the 2.5L tins, which work out quite a bit more expensive per litre than the 5L ones anyway. If you open a Brewers account then you can get 20% off your first order, they always seem to have good stock levels of F&B.
You can return the F&B paint, they are used to people getting the quantities wrong.

I was going to suggest the same thing, and it works out cheaper than the Homebase deal as not only restricted to the 2.5l tins.

Valspar is terrible quality. DH is a decorator and its the only paint he refuses to use as people are always so disappointed with the results. It's so flat and dull and goes shiny where it gets touched. Also flakes really easily.

You can't match the depth of colour and quality of a premium paint, but if you ever do try and get a colour match always go for a trade paint like Albany or dulux trade.

F and B is excellent quality and worth the money, valspar is terrible, so watery.
I’m going to open a Brewers account for the discount!

So… Farrow & Ball couldn’t cancel my order, but did note that I’d be taking it back once it was delivered and were kind about me wanting to save the cash by buying through Homebase. Lesson learned!

I’m sitting here picking colours from the F and B colour card but I always go to Johnstone’s and get them to colour match. They’ve always done a great job matching and decent paint too. Much cheaper. Did you buy online? Hopefully you can return it.
