Hot/boiling water tap

Hi all,

We’re having our kitchen done next year and I’d like one of these. Does anyone have any experience of the cheaper brands rather than. Quooker/Qettle? I just saw some great deals from a company called Intu on Instagram but I’m having a hard time finding and reviews that are not in their own website

Thanks

I’ve been looking into these as also currently planning a kitchen.

I contacted Qettle as they are bringing out a hose and sparkling water option in the new year which can be retrofitted into taps (although they we wouldn’t be buying before then anyway) but they couldn’t tell me how much those new parts would be.

I’ve seen on Instagram that Fohen ones get good reviews and I think the insinkerator ones. It probably depends what features you want. I really want a hose as have a hose on our current normal tap and I use it all the time.

The quooker ones seem insanely expensive compared to all the other brands now.

On another thread someone mentioned that only a few of them boil to 100 degrees, the others are to about 97/98 and whilst this is apparently fine for coffee it’s not great for tea. I’m someone who has to have scalding tea so I’ll be checking the temp before I buy.

I have a fohen one and love it. The tap looks a lot nicer that the Quooker ones and I only paid about £450 for it. The water is heated to 99 degrees on mine, and has been brilliant for making tea and coffee, plus cooking etc

We have insinkerator. We installed it in our last house and again when we did the kitchen here. Very happy.
