Boiler fitting.

We’re finally getting our new boiler installed tomorrow.
The one in the kitchen is being replaced.
Will the workmen just be in the kitchen? They won’t need to go into the bedrooms, will they? I have loads of Christmas presents/ piles of ironing our spare room.

If its anything like when we had a new boiler fitted the installer will probably have to go around and adjust all the radiators to get the levels right/ get rid of air/ something like that (they did explain to me!)

They may well need access to all the radiators. They did when we last had our boiler done.

Hopefully they don’t arrive bang on 7am, give me some tidyup time lol.

They'll need to go round and bleed all the radiators, I think they drain them down too by opening the valve before they start work on the boiler then they close all the valves once 5he ew boiler is fitted and fill and pressurise the system.

Yes, they will need to bleed all the radiators once the boiler is fitted. They do this at the end so you'll have time to have a tidy upstairs whilst they are doing the main job downstairs. It takes a few hours for a full replacement so you'll have time.

(Confession: I didn't bother tidying/didn't realise they'd need to come upstairs and there was a line of socks and pants on our bedroom radiator )
