Bedroom plaster quote

Hi all, just after some advice on a quote I just received.

Fairly standard double bedroom with breast wall. 1930s house.

Plasterer has just quoted 600 for the room, which includes overloading the ceiling first due to cracks, plus it's a but springy any may not hold plaster.

Does this seem like a reasonable quote?

Depends which bit of the country but we and in Yorkshire just and paid £750 for skimming a 4m by 4.5 m room

I just paid £800 to take down the old lime plaster, put plaster board up (nailed into joists over the top of the lathes) and replaster over that.

5mx5m room with a bay window

Sounds reasonable to me. Trades are so hard to come by at the moment. If genus available and its affordable for you I would get him booked in.

Thanks all. I'm guessing it is reasonable then. Booked in for tomorrow morning Smile
