Dripping taps driving me nuts!

Moved into this house back in July, kitchen tap was ancient and leaky, so got a plumber in to swap the whole thing out. All has been good until today, when the new tap has started leaking again! Is this just bad luck, or is there something else sinister wrong with the plumbing causing multiple taps to leak??

Is your new tap a ceramic, with a lever or joystick that moves a quarter turn?

Or does it have a capstan or knob that rotates?

Do you know the make?

@PigletJohn it's got two knobs that rotate (one for hot and one for cold). Don't know the make sadly, the plumber got it from a builders merchant for me.

It's unusual to drip so soon. Do you have anybody in the house who is accustomed to old, worn-out taps, and tightens them shut with great force?
