Boxmoor?

Argh, getting so completely drained looking for a new house. We need to move soon as are completely cramped with a toddler. Have been looking at Berkhamsted but for our price range (650ish) we have to compromise too much on size and location.

Boxmoor looks nice but is in Hemel Hempstead (sorry for any offence caused). What is it like? Can anyone think of any good alternatives? Need to be in 45 minutes of nw London for family, not too far from a station, don’t want Bucks as DC has learning difficulties and I’d hate for her to go through the 11plus

Thank you!

I've seen Boxmoor mentioned in a few places recently - I guess the need for somewhere more affordable but commutable means it's coming to more people's attention as people get more priced out of the better-known places!

Here's a recent thread you might find interesting on Reddit

I live in boxmoor tbh it's one of the better areas of hemel and has a reputation of being posh by the rest of hemel standards. but don't knock hemel it's a lovely community and you can't go wrong really. Boxmoor has lots of community things on throughout the year and people look out for each other typical village really.

@Asdawindowandglass - what about Kings Langley, Abbots Langley, Leavesden, Croxley Green, parts of Watford…?
