Lighting over kitchen island and table - do yours match?

Currently I’ve got two pendants over my kitchen island and three over the table and they all match. I’ve seen a light fitting that I love that would look great over the table but much too dim above the island.

Have you matched your light fittings or gone for different styles?

Ours are matched, in the same range, but in different sizes - two smaller ones over the island, one bigger one over the table. I don't think different but complementary styles would be a problem though!

No, ours are quite different shapes and finishes. Both quite modern though and complementary to each other

Ours do mot “match” but they complement each other. The table fixture is quite plain while the pendants are more detailed but they all are the same general type of style. I’m not a fan of matchy matchy but I know a lot of people like it. I wouldn’t have a sofa and chair in the same fabric either. I think it’s much more interesting when they “go” together but not in a cookie cutter type of way.

Thanks for the feedback - and sorry for the delay in responding (I could have sworn I’d checked on Thursday morning).

I’m glad that being unmatched isn’t a problem but I’m not entirely sure what I’ve seen would be complementary (however I would be able to find complementary styles for above the island quite easily).
