How to protect door frames/walls from moving furniture?

Just bought our first house and the entire house is to be emptied by a removal team (vendor organising this), I’m having visions of going into a completely battered house, damage to walls, frames, skirtings etc?

On the other end we will be having furniture delivered, how do you avoid damage?

Thanks!

Make sure you take care! And hope that the people who moved the furniture out took care too

Theres nothing you can do really but if you are employing removers they should be able to move you in with minimal hassle. Otherwise make sure you have several people to carry the heavy items. But some knocks and scratches are to be expected I guess

Wherever possible I'd just encourage the removers to take care around those areas - you could also invest in some covers for the window frames to at least give them a first line of defence if they do get hit by something, sometimes it's unavoidable with larger furniture
