We are in the process of buying a 1930s semi. Which level of survey would most people recommend?
Husband not keen on full survey (judgment slightly clouded by the fact that we had one done on a house that we had fall through, so basically wasted the money).
I feel it is better to be forewarned, but have also heard people take the opinion that they are not worth the money and who suggest getting independent assessors for damp, electrics, roof etc.
Any first hand advice or insight welcome!
