Can you pull out of an estate agent contract

Signed on Friday. I want to pull out today (Monday) and go with a different agent. I can’t see anything in the t&cs. I’m in Scotland. Any advice?

It would be unusual for the contract not to have a clause stopping you from cancelling without some sort of penalty or a notice period. Are you sure there is nothing of this nature within it?

Cooling off period?

Well if you’ve got the contract infront of you still and there’s nothing in there about it then I guess you’re ok, but it does seem odd if so!
Ours had a part saying if we took the house off the market or changed our minds we had to wait 12 weeks to use someone else.
We did change estate agents but we’d never signed anything with the first one

There is a cancellation notice in the contract basically we need to pay all fees plus an admin fee, but what I wondered if there was a cooling off period which applies to these contracts that they might not have included in their terms.

Usually you’d have 14 days “cooling off”
