Where do I move to?

Job is in Nottingham so would like a house within 1 hour's commute by train. Budget is £200k. Would prefer locations with green spaces to spend time outdoors with the children. Would be grateful if anyone can recommend any areas please.

How about further into the Peak District? There'll be some places that are on train lines.

Villages around Loughborough are nice. Barrow Upon Soar is lovely and has a train service to Nottingham- about 30 mins

I think you'd struggle to get from the Peak District to Nottingham without a longer commute. Somewhere like Matlock, which isn't quite in the Peaks, is well over an hour.

If you fancy Derbyshire, Belper almost squeezes into your commute time. Lowdham, Burton Joyce, East Bridgford and the villages round Bingham might fit?

I was also going to recommend Barrow. The train station is very central to to village so rely convenient. I lived living there
