Hi, we recently had the alcoves on either side of the chimney soundproofed (batons, air gap, rock wool and 2 layers of acoustic plasterboard) but we can still hear the neighbours TV.
And we can still hear the dogs barking as if they are in our own house.
The kitchen party wall is so bad that you’d an words on next doors TV and yesterday I went mad listening to two dogs bark for 3.5 hours. I’m poorly and I want to rest / nap.
The noise fills up the entirety of our house. TV and dogs are still audible with all doors closed and on the other side of our property.
Soundproofing the kitchen will mean pulling out the current kitchen, new tiling and new units. And I think the chimney acts as an echo chamber!
Any ideas?
