Looking for lights - particularly pendant lights and statement lights. Master bed room, 2 X hall and 3 X landing. And a downstairs loo.

Where do people get good lighting from these days? It's probably our forever home (or 10 year home) so want to get it right.

I love Industville, have just ordered a great light for loo fr9m them and have various others planned. Lovely quality.

That's good to hear. We've actually just ordered some outdoor lighting from then, didn't consider them for indoor stuff stupidly (I can be quite blinkered). I'll take a look.

If you have a decent budget I would employ either an interior designer or better still, a lighting designer. The difference really good lighting can make is staggering and worth the money (if you can afford it!!)

For mid priced I'd go for places like graham & green, Cox & Cox

I like Pooky. Just bought 3 of these for my kitchen www.pooky.com/wall-lights/stork-wall-light#selection.other_config_size=100&selection.config_colour=BRAANS

We got the most beautiful light from Amos lighting for our living room

Randomly BHS are good for lighting. And good prices too.

I use creative cables to buy nice ceiling roses and bulb holders, as well as coloured cable, which makes a huge difference but does require you to know how to wire a light. Then add statement shades or led bulbs that don't require a shade.

It gives you complete freedom to create exactly the light you want.

TizerorFizz · 04/11/2021 08:50

BHS? Surely they closed down? John Lewis are still quite good.

Look at Heals for modern inspiration. John Cullen have an interesting web site. Look at The Conran Shop and Made in Design and Utility Design. Tom Raffield might interest you and Flos. Pooky are great for table lights.

John Lewis and MADE.com are my 'go to' for lighting. Next sometimes has some decent ones too (but view in person as quality can vary across their ranges).

Original BTC - really well made classic lighting
Holloway’s of Ludlow have a good range

I tend to find the style I want then find do an image search. I lived the pendant lights I saw in Neptune but they were over £600. Found these at a just low vet the third of the cost, they have matching single pendants. I got very similar outdoor wall lights from Wayfair.

Sorry you need to click on the pic they are from lampsy

In the midst of this at the moment. Jim Lawrence, John Cullen, RV Astley (if budget allows). Also have used The Home Library.

Some of the shops mentioned above are all a bit same-y in my view.
