Move now or wait?

We are a family of three plus a dog living in a one bedroom flat. Have been trying to move for bloody ages! A nice house has come up but it is only 2 beds, plus a ‘walk in wardrobe’ which used to be an extra bedroom I think. I’m desperate to move but do think this place is overvalued due to a lack of houses. What would you do? Move now or wait? (We also want to try for another baby in the next year or so)

Honestly I don’t think prices are coming down any time soon (and if they do lenders always pull the plug so unless you’ve got cash you can’t buy anyway) it may just be a case that prices have risen and you may need to reassess what your budget affords?

I think you’re probably right, although there are just so few houses available it’s hard to know. So frustrating. I’m annoyed that we bought a flat six years ago - the value of it has hardly increased wheeeas houses in the same area have sky rocketed :(

It's v difficult, I'm not sure a lot can be predicted with Brexit and covid In the mix. I've moved recently but it's to our 'forever home' so increases or decreases in prices don't matter as much. A house is only worth as much as you are prepared to pay for it. Houses feel like they are moving quickly but on average they are still taking a few months, it's a few that go within days, not all, however people only see the ones that are snapped up and price accordingly.

I think if it's from a flat to a house and it ticks the boxes I'd move. Interest is low so make the most of that and get a fixed deal whilst you can
