Local planning alerts

Does anyone know of a good website or app that can alert me to planning applications in my local area? I saw one that I found by searching online but it had awful reviews.

Your local council website should have a planning section and a postcode search. They usually upload all the documentation (redacted where applicable) - the actual plans, objections and so on.

Some Council web sites allow you to sign up for email alerts for certain postcodes. Some allow you to sign up for their weekly list of planning applications for the whole area. Otherwise as PP says, it's a matter of regularly searching the Council planning pages yourself. It should just be a matter of entering your postcode, or the name of the road. Sometimes there is a map feature too which allows you to search.

Another idea is contacting your local resident's association or Parish Council - they sometimes issue a regular update for their areas.

Thank you all. I know about the local planning portal, I was just being lazy! I’ll have a look to see if my local one has an alert system.
