Cornstarch poured down toilet... help !

My DD and friends have experimented with cornstarch, made a mess and poured a whole load of cornstarch + hot water down toilet in their efforts to clean kitchen before I came home. Toilet isn’t blocked, but there is a strong sewagey smell coming from it and the drain outside appears to be blocked (rain water iaht draining). Please help before I loose my mind .... is there anything I can pour fuel the drain that will dissolve the cornflour sludge which seems to be clogging them ?!

Movement will turn it back into a slurry. Get a stick and start stirring, with additional water poured down - lots of it or you will get a solid again.

You need to rod it to stop it solidifying again.
Don't put anything else down and make sure and pole you use won't break (no garden canes) also the rain water shouldn't be draining into the sewage drain so that shouldn't matter.

If the above doesn't work, this stuff will digest the cornstarch into soluble sugars.

Lots of houses in this country have combined drains.

Yep. We do. Older houses often do. New houses ought not to.

Our rainwater goes into the toilet sewer. But that's better than the other way round, a sewer going into surface water drain!
