Window splashback

Hi all, first time poster! I have found these threads so helpful as we plan our new extension. Just wondering has anyone got a window splashback in their kitchen and if they would recommend it/recommend against it. I can't post a picture unfortunately as I'm new. It would be a long low window with presses above, like a picture window.

Yes, that's pretty much exactly what I'm after! Mine would be similar too in that the hob and sink would both face the window, albeit a bit further apart than in that image.
