Has anyone done this?
We have a Tudor cottage which we are restoring. During some dodgy previous work, some of the floors downstairs were done with concrete and carpeted over.
We want to replace with oak boards but, as you can’t put boards directly onto concrete, we’ll lose room height. So we’d like to have the concrete dug out by a couple of inches so that the wooden floor ends up at the same level as the current concrete floor.
I don’t have any sense of how much this will cost. Any sort of steer would be brilliant.
