Moving to Rickmansworth/Bushey

Hello lovely people, help please! We're looking to move out of London with our two young boys aged 18 months and almost 7 years. We're a modern family of mixed heritage (Asian, White, Arab), both city workers. Need to be close to decent state schools and day nurseries, within a mile walk to the tube or train station, would like to keep journey into the City of London to around an hour plus no more than 35min drive to Hanger Lane in Ealing.

In terms of the property itself, semi or detached, min 4 bed/1800 sq ft, preferably 2,000sq ft. In a low crime location, with restaurants and cafes nearby. Our budget is £1.2M but can go a little over. We're avoiding fare zones outside of 1-8.

We have spent a couple of days and nights in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire to check out the areas and quite like Rickmansworth (including Chorleywood and Croxley Green areas). We've also noticed Bushey has a lot of good sized houses around within budget but don't know either area well. Any advice or experience you can share would be much appreciated. TIA

Hi there,
Have you managed to move anywhere? We are considering Bushey (Oxhey village) as well. Would be nice to get your research inputs.
thanks,
D
