ceiling repair pls ?

Mates husband is a plumber and repaired a leak in my bathroom and kindly for a tenner material cost filled in the hole in the kitchen ceiling as money is tight being a single mum and r
teaching assistant so I want to repair it till I can afford someone to do it properly.
I was thinking of filling screw holes with plaster and a thin coating of plaster on the plasterboard that has had the top coat ripped of and then undercoat and top coat them both .
is that correct ? pics included.

You can buy skimming paint that is supposed to cover light cracks. I’d fill any holes and use the paint. Them paint with ordinary emulsion.
It’s surprising how imperfections disappear on ceilings when it’s all one colour.
