House insurance between exchange and completion

Hoping to exchange today. We have a month between exchange and completion. Our survey was done in June. Most of the insurance firms I have found online need a survey within 16 weeks of exchange. Ours was 19 weeks ago. Any ideas on what we can do? Any firms that you would recommend? Any help appreciated.

I'm quite surprised about that, what about those people who choose not to have a survey?

Have you asked your current insurer if they will insure you on both properties until you move in. Many do?

Ummm are you in the U.K.?

I exchanged last week and my completion is early December. My insurance company did not ask when the survey was done! Company is LV=

We had a longer gap than that. NFU did our exchange-completion insurance.

We didn’t get a survey on the house we’re in now. Can’t recall Aviva asking if we’d had one…

We’ve got it from John Lewis and I didn’t remember being asked about this but it was a few years ago.

I remember being asked about type of locks and what’s roof made from. I was completely puzzled.

Ask your vendor’s insurer for continuation of cover for a period then switch?

Our insurer didn't ask when the survey was done and just insured both houses.
