How long until potential offer??

I had 6 veiwings on my house today and the estate agent said all gave really positive feedback and a few said they're thinking of offering.

In your experience how long would you expect to wait for this potential offers?? I feel unreasonably deflated that haven't had anything by close of business today 🤪

We've had an offer accepted on a house with a caveat of selling within two weeks which the agent is confident on (buy and sale same agent)

Any story's etc would be helpful, I'd like to sleep tonight!!

We had two people see our house the day it was put on and offered while they were in the house. We did the same to the one we are moving into on Friday.
Wait till Monday and see what happens.

MrsBobDylan · 23/10/2021 20:26

I thought our house would be a tricky sell and but we got an offer at asking 8 days for in.

By then I'd convinced myself it would never sell and was practically hysterical. Patience is not my virtue Grin

Good luck op, I'm sure someone will offer soon.

Wowzel · 23/10/2021 20:28

In my recent experience, anyone who is going to make an offer does it within about 2 days of seeing the house.

oriel3 · 23/10/2021 21:39

I've always offered straight away, or told the EA I'm going to offer but just need to work out the price.

As for my properties, one woman offered there and then, another a day later I think, and the most recent said they would offer the day they viewed, and then formally offered after the weekend.

Good luck! Some people do take their time. I do understand your impatience though as I'm the same - I've zero chill 🥶

YummyBelicious · 23/10/2021 22:32

Exactly as you have said I've zero chill and I'm driving myself mad. 😁😁

My house was listed on a Thursday, had 7 viewings on a Friday, 3 came back for a second viewing on the Monday and we accepted full asking on the same day, so 3 working days.

If the market around you is moving quickly, interested parties should hopefully be offering quickly to secure the house. 6 viewings in one day is very good, so here's hoping for some good news for you come Monday.

@MrsBobDylan I have been on the verge of a nervous breakdown during the whole thing.

I move on Friday. When we exchanged my stress left my body. Then I started packing and my stress levels went up again. Quite frankly when we move on Friday I will one very happy person.

MrsBobDylan · 24/10/2021 19:14

@Paranoidandroidmarvin good luck for your move! I'm sure all the stress will translate into a very smooth and organised move.

I really want to get in our new home. Like you, I just seem to transfer my stress to the next stage Grin

Paranoidandroidmarvin · 24/10/2021 21:20

Hmmmm not sure. We are down sizing. And I don’t think I have got Rid of enough stuff.

Lightswitch123 · 24/10/2021 21:35

Amazing people offer on first viewing! Madness!

Orangecrisp · 24/10/2021 21:51

I did weekend viewings and had all offers by Monday at 9.30am. Does the agent actually open on a Saturday for offers? Some seemed to only offer viewings on the weekend but offers made Monday. I wouldn’t be concerned most people probably had other houses to view over the weekend, doesn’t mean they won’t offer.

SuperheroBirds · 24/10/2021 22:08

If I viewed a house on Saturday, I’d want to think about it overnight but would presume the estate agents were closed on Sunday so wouldn’t offer until Monday

YummyBelicious · 24/10/2021 23:07

Thank you.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow, another sleepless night awaits... 😬
